Mr. Chavarria is the Director of the SBDC at Gulf Coast Community College. He has over two decades of Operational Management and Leadership training skills from the US Air Force. His expertise is in Workforce Education and Development. Areas of counseling are in Public Relations, Marketing, Communication and Customer Service. |

Valerie Simmons - Assistant Director/ Professional Development Coordinator/ Certified Business Analyst
Mrs. Simmons is a business analyst. She brings 24 years of experience as an accountant for small businesses to the SBDC. She has provided services to ensure her clients’ successes over the years in accounting, bookkeeping, taxes, financial planning and marketing. She is also a business valuation specialist. She has years of experience in real estate brokerage and development. She has been a successful entrepreneur in many types of profitable small businesses. |

Brent Peacock - Certified Business Analyst / Interim Director of the Veterans' Business Outreach Center
Mr. Peacock is a Business Analyst. He brings over a decade of experience as a case manager and counselor at The Workforce Center to apply to his responsibilities as a Veteran Business Counselor. Mr. Peacock also has extensive marketing experience and well honed communication skills to assist clients in various areas of business. |

Johnny Branch - Certified Business Analyst
Mr. Branch has an MBA from the University of West Florida. He brings 23 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant and 15 years as a Restaurateur. Johnny has decades of "hands-on" business experience to pass on to clients, including accounting, tax liabilities, business start-up and more. Johnny will be conducting workshops such as Steps to Starting a Small Business, Taxes and Accounting, and Business Plans. |

John Miller - Administrative Assistant
Mr. Miller conducts the government contracting workshop to which he brings his many years of experience in this field |

Michelle Darko - Senior Administrative Assistant
Ms. Darko serves as the Senior Administrative Assistant for the SBDC. She brings to the table a wealth of organizational skills and over a decade of customer service experience. |

Pam Cooley - Coordinator of Marketing & Training
Pam Cooley is a Communication graduate from FSU. She brings her expertise to SBDC from her last three years at GCCC as Assistant Coordinator in Marketing and Publications where she also utilized her creative talent in graphic design. |
