The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Gulf Coast State College is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting new and existing small businesses as well as those considering starting a small business. The SBDC works under the guidance of the United States Small Business Administration and the Florida Small Business Development Center Network and works closely with community partners that include the Business Innovation Center @ FSU Panama City, The Veterans' Business Outreach Center, and Gulf Coast State College among others. In fact, the SBDC is a cooperative effort of the private sector, the educational community and federal, state and local governments.
What We Do
The SBDC is designed to deliver up-to-date consulting, training and technical assistance in all aspects of small business management. SBDC services include, but are not limited to, assisting small businesses with financial, marketing, production, organization, engineering and technical problems and feasibility studies. Special SBDC programs and economic development activities include international trade assistance, technical assistance, procurement assistance, venture capital formation, rural development and it serves as an intermediary for the Pre qualification Loan Program. Simply put, we provide one-stop assistance to small businesses by providing a wide variety of information and guidance in one location.l
The SBDC also makes special efforts to reach minority members of socially and economically disadvantaged groups, veterans, women and the disabled. Assistance is provided to both current or potential small business owners.
